Alienware Aurora R15: a PC with an RTX 4090 and a 13th generation Intel Core unveiled

alienware is also making its comeback and today presents theAurora R15. You probably already know the name of this desktop computer built for video games, but the manufacturer is bringing its machine up to date by integrating latest generation components and not only for CPU and GPUs.

Obviously, we find inside a processor Intel Core 13th generation, series Kas well as the latest graphics cards GeForce RTX 4000 Series of NVIDIA. But alienware also cares for the thermal elements to ensure optimal performance:

  • 240mm liquid cooling, with the option to upgrade to 240mm Cryo-tech liquid cooling;
  • Five 120 mm fans: one 240 mm LC unit performing the function of two exhaust fans on the top, another exhaust fan on the rear and two intake fans on the front;
  • A hexagonal side vent to generate additional airflow;
  • 12-phase CPU voltage regulation for long-lasting peak performance;
  • Voltage regulator heatsinks on the motherboard to ensure maximum cooling;
  • An 80 Plus Platinum rated power supply offering high levels of energy efficiency;
  • Increased memory speed to DDR5 48,000 Hz (or MT/s);
  • Defined memory architecture that uses the fastest UDIMMs for increased performance.

According to alienwarethis allows to deliver 58% more power to the processor with a 5°C lower temperature. Quiet is also king, with 66% quieter sound in CPU-intensive tasks and 9% in graphics-card tasks. In addition, the manufacturer has opted for a 1,350 W power supply, capable of handling the power of the RTX 4090but it is also possible to choose a configuration with a AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series.

The Alienware Aurora R15 gaming PC will be available from November 1, 2022, the price will of course depend on the configuration chosen. You can find theAlienware Aurora R12 with a i7-11700KF and an RTX-3080 at €3,091.89 on Amazon.
