Wendel posts an increase in turnover in Q1, with the strong activity of its main subsidiary

April 25 (Reuters) – Wendel reported on Thursday an increase in its turnover in the first quarter, driven in particular by the good performances of Bureau Veritas and Crisis Prevention Institute.

The investment company recorded a consolidated turnover of 7.91 billion euros, up 11.7% year-on-year in published data.

The Bureau Veritas subsidiary posted organic growth in its turnover of 8%, contributing 1.44 billion euros to the group’s revenues over the quarter.

“We continued the deployment of our new strategic orientations detailed during our Investor Day in December 2023, with the partial monetization, under favorable conditions, of our participation in Bureau Veritas,” declared Laurent Mignon, chairman of the group’s management board, in a press release.
