Curly hair “Curly Sue” is under the hood. Former child actress Alisan Porter has married her boyfriend.
With the comedy “Curly Sue” Alisan Porter (41) became a child star in 1991, now she is under the hood. The former child actress has according to the US magazine “People” gave the yes word to her long-term partner Justin de Vera (33) on Sunday. According to the actress, the two have known each other for over 20 years. After being best friends for a long time, the singer and dancer have been together for six years. Their daughter Shilo Bee was born on October 20, 2021.
This is Alisan Porter’s second marriage. From 2012 to 2017 she was married to Brian Autenrieth (45) – like Porter, a former child actor (including “The A-Team”). Together they have two children, son Mason (10) and daughter Aria (8).
The children from the first marriage were present at the wedding and were allowed to wear the rings. On Instagram Alisan Porter posted pictures of the big day.
Alisan Porter: From “Curly Sue” to “The Voice”
Alisan Porter was on stage and in front of the camera from an early age. At the age of five she won the TV singing competition “Star Search”, performed in musicals. After roles in series (e.g. “Golden Girls”) and films (e.g. ” Eine Wahnsinnsfamilie” from 1989) the big hit came in 1991. In “Curly Sue – A curly head causes a stir” she played the title role alongside James Belushi (68).
In the course of growing up, Alisan Porter stayed away from the big film roles. She switched to musicals. As a singer, she released her debut album in 2009. Like many other former child stars, Porter has struggled with alcohol and drugs. Since 2007, however, she has described herself as clean.
Then in 2016 he returned to the big stage. Porter took part in the casting show “The Voice” – and won as a protégé of Christina Aguilera (42). Today she works as a vocal coach herself.
