(Boursier.com) — Alstom announced that the Romanian Railway Authority (ARF) has signed an amendment to its framework contract for the delivery of 17 additional Coradia Stream interregional trains as well as 15 years of associated maintenance services. These trains will be added to the first 20, ordered in March 2022, to create the first fleet of passenger trains delivered by Alstom in Romania.
Each train will consist of six cars, with a total capacity of 350 seats on a single low-floor level to ensure easy access for all passengers. The passenger information system will include an audio system and a dynamic display system. These trains will reach a top speed of 160 km/h.
