There’s not much Christmas spirit to be found in the new series of Prime Video in December. Unless you especially like action and cult comedies.

The new series and seasons coming in December to Amazon’s streaming service can be counted (almost) on the fingers of one hand. Fortunately, if the quantity seems a little low, the quality is there. Especially if you haven’t already seen the cult comedies Community And Insecure. As usual, here is the complete list provided by Amazon, as well as an in-house zoom on three works.

Reacher – Season 2
As friendly as she is muscular, Reacher highlights the advantageous physique (and acting, all the same) of Alan Ritchson. The latter plays the famous Jack Reacher, from the novels of Lee Child and already interpreted several times on screen. The plot of this season 2 will be based on volume 11. If you have not seen the first season, it is a question of following this former soldier who helps the police even though he has been arrested for a crime he did not commit.

Farad
Carried in particular by
Miguel Herran (The House of Paper), Farad does not (yet?) have a trailer on Prime Video’s French YouTube channel. Regardless, if you don’t speak Spanish, know that it’s about following Oskar. The latter finds himself, despite himself, entering the world of the Costa del Sol because of the Farad family, specialized in arms trafficking.

Worship. Absolutely cult. The Shield remains one of FX’s best series and deserves to be seen even today. For seven seasons, this Shawn Ryan show carried by
Michael Chiklis follows the daily life of an American police team using methods that are not always legal.

With its subscription price always (a little) more attractive than the others, Prime Video is a very interesting SVoD solution. If it still lacks a few additional flagship series to be able to be fully compared to Netflix, the platform offers a varied and rich enough catalog to keep you busy for a while. It also stands out with its X-Ray functionality and excellent video quality which can help forgive a few bugs here and there.
