A machine dedicated to cryptomining and costing the trifle of 13,500 euros was imagined by ASRock from AMD solutions.
Like Biostar, ASRock is one of the few companies to clearly promote its cryptomining products. The Taiwanese’s latest rig was presented recently.
610 MH/s hashrate
This imposing solution is designed for Ethereum mining, and to do this, it carries no less than 12 AMD BC-250 cards. Providing electricity to all this little world requires the setting up of two power supplies of 1,200 W each.
ASRock points out that its “monster” is billed at 13,499 euros and must offer a hashrate of 610 MH/s. Given the price fluctuation, it is not easy to estimate, but ASRock’s machine could thus mine for 24 dollars per day of ETH.
For the record, and as we specify in the title of this brief, the AMD BC-250 is a solution that seems to have to integrate Ariel/Oberon SoCs found on PlayStation 5. Only partially defective models would be used by AMD on the BC-250. A way for the manufacturer to recycle otherwise perfectly functional chips, as it had already been able to do with the 4700S desktop kits.
