(AOF) – The takeover of Xilinx by its competitor AMD should finally take place during the first quarter of 2022. While the two semiconductor manufacturers anticipated a finalization of the operation before the end of 2021, they split of a press release, Thursday evening, explaining not to have received all the necessary authorizations. They say, however, that “conversations with regulators continue to progress productively” and plan to secure all required approvals, for a $ 35 billion transaction announced in October 2020.
