Amy Locane: "Melrose Place" star has eight years in prison

The fourth verdict has been reached: Actress Amy Locane has to be behind bars again. This time for eight years.

Amy Locane's (48) fate is sealed. On Thursday, September 17, the Somerset County, New Jersey Supreme Court judge sentenced the actress to eight years in prison. It is the fourth time that the former "Melrose Place" star has been convicted of the fatal traffic accident he was responsible for in 2010 while under the influence of alcohol. At that time, a 60-year-old woman was killed and her husband was seriously injured.

The guilty verdict: Eight years imprisonment for second degree negligent homicide, 18 months imprisonment for fourth degree assault in a car. Locane will serve both sentences at the same time, reports the US portal "TMZ". The actress should therefore hope for an early release after six years and ten months at the earliest, allegedly followed by another three years on probation.

The fourth process

After the accident, Locane had been behind bars for around two and a half years. She was released in 2016 because an appeals court ruled that the mitigating circumstances had not been adequately set out in the judgment and that the sentence had been too low. Two other judgments that followed were overturned with similar arguments.
