An engineer misplaces a USB key containing notes on traffic in Paris during the 2024 Olympics, justice opens an investigation

An investigation into theft was opened by the Paris prosecutor’s office on Wednesday February 28, following a complaint filed by an engineer from the capital’s town hall after the disappearance of one of his bags containing a USB key on which there was information related to the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The Paris prosecutor’s office specifies World, Wednesday noon, that the missing USB key did not contain sensitive information on the security of the event but notes related to the traffic plan planned in the capital during the competition, from July 26 to August 11. Investigations into the disappearance of this bag were entrusted to transport network security.

Tuesday evening, Agence France-Presse (AFP) relayed information from a police source, according to which the complainant had taken a seat on a train going to Creil (Oise) and left his bag in the luggage compartment above his seat. His train being delayed, again according to the AFP police source, he decided to change trains and take another which also left for Creil.
