An expected Marvel character and references to Disney: 7 hidden details in episode 5 of She-Hulk

Like every week, find on AlloCiné the details hidden in the Marvel / Disney + She-Hulk series. Focus this time on episode 5… which contains a nice surprise.

In episode 5 of She-Hulk that Disney+ put online this morning, Jennifer Walters is going through real hell. Titania (Jameela Jamil) has used her name to make a cosmetics brand and intends to permanently lower the popularity of the superheroine. The two women meet in court to settle this story once and for all.

Along with this, Nikki – accompanied by Pug – is looking for someone to create a costume for She-Hulk. But not just anything… a stretchy suit that can adapt to your changing body type. She doesn’t know it, but our favorite lawyer is getting closer and closer to a certain Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), as evidenced by the latter easter eggs :

Mallory Book

This character camped by the brilliant Renée Elise Goldsberry does exist in the comics where she competes with Jennifer in the firm GLK&H. The two then become friends so She-Hulk decides to join Book’s new firm afterwards.

A new QR Code

The QR code of the week allows you to read a few pages of She Hulk #10 in which our sup’ faces Titania. A comic all about.

The derived products

These derivatives ridicule most of the Avengers – Avongers, it will be said – including Hawkeye (who turns blond), Thor (who turns red) and Hulk (who is purple). We love.

She-Hulk at the Avengers

This discussion between Nikki and Luke seems to be very meta. At the moment it is not known if She-Hulk will be part of the Avengers in the MCU but it seems to be indeed in negotiations…

A Disney Fan

The costumes that appear in Luke’s shop look straight out of the Disney movies, which Marvel has as a reminder. We can notably see in this scene the horns of Maleficent in the film with Angelina Jolie.

Daredevil is finally here!

This is the scene that will be talked about this week. Marvel teases the arrival of the Devil from Hell’s Kitcher with this scene where we see Daredevil’s helmet (which is no longer red but golden). We know that Matt Murdock was to make an appearance in She-Hulk but we did not know when.

Note that in the Netflix version series, it was Melvin who was in charge of the Defender costume and that it was him that Marvel fans were waiting to see on screen.

A little special sneakers

If you stop for two seconds on this scene of the credits, you will be able to discover the collection of Pug. In particular, we can recognize the colors and themes of several Marvel superheroes and villains including Cyclop, , Ghost Rider, The Thing, Deadpool or Spider-Man. The list is long !
