National soccer player André Schürrle has ended his career. Wife Anna sweetens the emotional step with a declaration of love.
"A new world is waiting for you." With these encouraging words, model and author Anna Schürrle (29, "Dear Mama") turns to her husband André Schürrle (29) after the football player has announced his career end. On Instagram, she shared snapshots of herself, her loved one and their daughter.
She wrote: "Today was a very emotional day, especially for you. Be proud of yourself. For your achievements and the brave decision you made." Then follows a sweet declaration of love for the 2014 soccer world champion: "I love you infinitely and can't wait to start a new chapter."
Schürrle surprisingly announced his career retirement on Friday (July 17). The decision had matured in him for a long time, the 29-year-old explained to the "Spiegel". Schürrle had canceled his contract with Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday. Especially as the World Cup hero of Brazil, he played in 2014 in the hearts of the audience and fans. Schürrle has been married to Anna Sharypova, as she was born, since 2018. In April 2019, the two parents became a daughter.
