The American actress Andrea Evans is dead. Her manager initially confirmed this to “People” magazine. The series actress died on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from her long-standing breast cancer.

Evans is known for her numerous engagements in famous soap operas. Above all, her role as the scheming Tina Lord in “Love, Lies, Passion” made her a star in the US from the late 1970s. She was also seen in similar formats such as “Rich and Beautiful”, “Shadow of Passion” or “Passions”.

Frank Valentini, 60, the former producer of “Love, Lies, Passion” and current maker of “General Hospital” acknowledged Evans via Twitter as a “big star”: “She was always kind, kind and it was so much fun, to work with her.” She is a “daytime legend” who will be greatly missed.

The actress’ family has also spoken out. She remembers Andrea Evans as a “remarkable woman”. Her husband Stephen Rodriguez, to whom she has been married since 1998, told People magazine that his wife was appreciated by everyone who knew her: “Her unwavering strength, positivity and indomitable spirit have inspired us inspired at every step of their fearless fight against this unrelenting disease.”

Andrea Evans faced the challenges with “grace, resilience and an unbroken love for life,” is how her husband describes her will to live. She was his rock and a great wife and mother. “The cancer killed Andrea, but not her spirit,” Rodriguez continues. Rodriguez was Andrea Evans’ second husband. In 1981 she first married her series colleague Wayne Massey, 76. Evans and Rodriguez have a daughter together, who they adopted in 2004.
