Android 13, HDMI 2.1a and Tesla Christmas update – tech’spresso

Didn’t have time to follow the news yesterday? Here’s what stood out on Friday, December 24: a first look at Android 13 Tiramisu, the arrival of HDMI 2.1a and the Tesla Christmas update in France. To not miss any news, consider subscribing to the Frandroid newsletter.

An overview of Android 13 Tiramisu

Code name: Tiramisu. An unofficial build of Android 13 “T” has been highlighted and already allows you to have a small preview of the new features that can be expected from the next version of the OS from Google. Prepare for changes on the side of notifications, the language setting for each application or the clock in addition to some optimizations to plan.

The benefits of HDMI 2.1a

A new HDMI standard is born: HDMI 2.1a. We especially remember the arrival of a Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM) function which promises to improve the management of HDR for better rendering of movies and games on your TV.

What the Tesla Christmas Update brings

Tesla is rolling out its update to its cars in France to celebrate Christmas. Thanks to this deployment, we benefit from a Light Show, a new interface or two new games, including one from the Sonic franchise. While some new functions may prove useful, others are much less so.
