Google has taken care to remove the status bar, and move the information to the lower right corner of the screen. The taskbar also provides a permanent display of music control options.
Android World also indicates that it will be possible to display the interface of your smartphone on the screen, to launch any application, including of course those incompatible with Android Auto. You can also reject a call by sending an SMS, dictated by the user to Google Assistant.
