The two manufacturers Samsung and OnePlus are distributing the new Android 12 operating system for some mobile phones. Xiaomi, on the other hand, is rolling out a new user interface.
Samsung
Samsung starts distributing Android 12 for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G in South Korea. With the update you get a lot of new features as well as a new look of the user interface. One UI 4.0 also offers the “Material You” theme.
Android 12 is also available for the Galaxy Z Flip 3. Here you will find functions such as the privacy dashboard, new data protection settings and revised apps. The update is currently only available in Serbia.
The company is also upgrading the Galaxy Buds + and Buds Pro with an update. Thanks to the “wear detection”, the headphones can automatically pause or continue the playback of a song, depending on whether you have the plug in your ear or not.
You can now also use the locked folder in the Google Photos app. In this you can save sensitive pictures and videos. The folder can be unlocked with a password or biometric authentication. However, the files are not stored in the cloud, but only locally on the device.
Xiaomi
Xiaomi is already testing the new MIUI 13 user interface within the company. Seven cell phones are currently expected to take part in the tests. The beta program may start soon.
The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE mobile phone is awarded the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition. There are no new features in the user interface, but some bug fixes and improvements. The firmware is currently being distributed in India and Turkey.
Android 12L
You can already test Android 12L on one device. The Developer Preview is available for the Lenovo P12 Pro. It is uncertain whether further cell phones or tablets can be considered with the test version.
OnePlus
OnePlus is also distributing Android 12. The two mobile phones OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro 5G have many features with the new operating system. However, there is currently still a problem with the mobile network.
