Animal rescue – fire brigade freed deer from the gate

Comrades from the Hart volunteer fire brigade were called to an unusual animal rescue on Sunday evening: A deer was stuck in a gate. The Florianis spread the gate struts and the animal was able to escape unharmed into the forest.

Residents noticed on Sunday evening in Hart near Graz that a deer was stuck in a gate and could no longer free itself from the predicament. Five comrades from the Hart volunteer fire brigade near Graz came to the aid of the frightened animal.

The Florianis pressed the gate struts apart with a battery spreader after they had previously covered the deer’s head with a blanket to calm it down. The animal could be freed unharmed and quickly disappeared into the adjacent forest.
