Shopping haul for cancer? That sounds absurd at first glance – but what model Anna Hiltrop has put together for the DKMS LIFE dreamday is a great idea!
"Look better, feel better" – under this motto, cancer patients should be encouraged to feel good about their bodies and their appearance despite their illness. Model Anna Hiltrop therefore goes shopping for four patients for the DKMS dreamday – and puts together particularly stylish fashion packages for them.
DKMS LIFE dreamday: "Stronger than before"
This beautiful campaign was just one of many events at the DKMS LIFE dreamday – the digital version of the charity ball, which took place completely digitally on September 24 due to the corona pandemic. But the online event was no less spectacular, with highlights such as a virtual patient concert with Sarah Connor, Sasha and Graham Candy and an online gala moderated by Barbara Schöneberger. The song "Stronger than before" in particular sums up the main concerns of the online gala: Nobody has to feel alone or give up hope – because it is always worthwhile not to lose courage and keep fighting.
Cancer doesn't take a break
But that was just the beginning: In the next few months there will be further campaigns with the campaign ambassadors Guido Maria Kretschmer, Sylvie Meis, Charlotte Link, Riccardo Simonetti, Stefanie Giesinger, Palina Rojinski, and Angelina Kirsch until the end of December. They are all involved in the multimedia campaign "Cancer don't take a break", which has been running since September 17th, and aims to raise awareness of the disease and the people who are affected by it. Patients themselves will also have their say there and tell about their experiences in another particularly difficult year due to the coronavirus. But even in the greatest isolation there is reason for hope and joie de vivre – this campaign makes this impressively clear again and again.
