The former "Bachelorette" Anna Hofbauer (31) became a mother for the first time in November. However, the birth of little son Leo was dramatic. The little guy was born far too early, as Hofbauer and her partner, actor Marc Barthel (30) told the magazine "Bunte" in December. The amniotic sac burst in the 35th week of pregnancy – a child is considered premature until the 37th week. The doctors finally started giving birth after five days. But that's not all.
The new earthling had to go to the intensive care unit immediately because he was fighting pneumonia. Not an easy situation for the child, mother and father. Today Leo is "healthy and doing very well," says Anna Hofbauer in an interview with the spot on news news agency. She has coped with the dramatic time. "Of course! I look ahead and am happy about my son every day," said the new mom. What does the new life of the small family look like?
Will the wedding follow after the baby?
"The nights are shorter," explains Hofbauer with a laugh, before admitting: "I can continue my life as usual – only that I now have a little worm that makes it even more beautiful. Leo is great! I can take him anywhere, especially he often sleeps soundly in the café. " The freshly baked mother does not seem to be afraid of doing something wrong. She explains: "My mom gave me the advice to simply bring up with a lot of love and gut feeling and then everything is good!"
Her partner Marc Barthel is also doing "great as a dad". The father-son duo seems to be on the same wavelength. "Leo and he do a lot of stupid things together. Leo already sings a lot, chats and likes to make faces. And Marc takes part in it. Leo gives us both great joy," enthuses Anna Hofbauer about her two men. The couple's togetherness is now "a little tighter than before the birth. But it is important that you take time off as a couple," says Hofbauer.
Will you be married soon?
Will the wedding bells soon ring for Hofbauer and Barthel after their child? In any case, the musical actress does not seem to want to exclude: "We are very much looking forward to our little son and to everything that the future holds."
On Thursday (March 12th) Anna Hofbauer and Marc Barthel can be seen together on the TV screen. In the crime series "Notruf Hafenkante" (7:25 pm, ZDF), Hofbauer plays the eponymous "Poker Princess". Marc Barthel has been in the series since the 14th season as police commissioner Kris Freiberg.
