Anne Sila began her career in a jazz register. To perform, she traveled all over France. Anne Sila says she loves traveling alone, “I love watching people, the living world, you have the impression of being able to observe without being seen”, explains the singer. She adds : “I have the feeling that it allows you to put things into perspective”. When asked about his vision of the dream trip, however, a specific memory comes to him. In 2011, the young woman left France and flew to american dream and the homeland of jazz : New York ! In this city where everything is possible, she says, Anne Sila meets a legend, the trumpeter Lew Soloff (who passed away in 2015). “We become very good friends right away, it’s the magic of New York”, she says. Magic that does not only work halfway: the young woman thus remembers two incredible anecdotes.

Thus, one day, his friend unexpectedly offers him to go to a jazz rehearsal where he is going. Anne accepts, without really understanding the name of the person… and finds herself at a rehearsal with Queen Latifah, world star of RnB. Another unforgettable story: “I met the one who made my first album because he went to a club where I was singing; he told me tomorrow, come to rehearsal, and offered to write a sample song for Christina Aguilera”. The young woman has fond memories of this city: “In New York, people think so much that everything is possible, that everything becomes possible for real in fact” she points out.
