Warning, hacked account – The Anti-Bitcoin Investor Peter Schiff had surprised his world a few days ago in promoting a series of NFTs (non-fungible tokens) glorifying his one and only favorite asset: thegold. This time it’s a shitcoin called $GOLD which the investor’s Twitter account promoted, but it wasn’t actually him. His account would have been pirate to promote this scam.

A GOLD shitcoin promoted by a hacked Peter Schiff
The cryptosphere was just recovering from the news of seeing Peter Schiff – a gold lover and lifelong critic of Bitcoin – suddenly make advertisement for an issue of type tokens NFTtitled “Golden Triumph”, this May 26, 2023. It was incredible, but true this time.
But this June 3, 2023, the surprise was really too big to be true on this one. The precious metal investor’s Twitter account (@PeterSchiff) was indeed promoting the issuance of a dark token out of nowhere, a certain $GOLD. Quickly, the cybersecurity service teams Blockfence have warned that this was indeed a scam (scam), and that the gold fan millionaire’s account had been compromise and operated by a scammer.
” Attention ! Peter Schiff’s Twitter account has been compromised. Scammers use it to promote a fake pre-sale of the $GOLD token. (…) [l’interaction avec le smart contract promu ici] would lead to a drainage of your wallet! »
If Peter Schiff has perhaps (very) slightly evolved in good in his ultra-negative opinion on Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, it is not yet to sell tokens! At the time of this writing, although the hacker/scammer’s messages have been erased (by Twitter?), we are not still not sure that the ” gold bug Peter Schiff got his account back. So distrust!
