A Saturday evening and a night with friends that turns to tragedy. A man was found dead in an apartment in a residence on boulevard Dugommier, in the city center of Antibes (Alpes-Maritimes), indicates a police source to the Figaroconfirming information from Nice morning. The firefighters took care of him, Sunday morning, around 7:30 a.m. A man and a woman in their 40s were arrested in the process. It is the woman who would have given the alert and warned the emergency services. They were then both arrested at the scene.
The victim, aged 40, did not live in this accommodation but nearby. She was mortally wounded with a knife, in the chest on the heart side, specifies the police source. “They spent the evening together and it degenerated”, she adds. For which motive ? That remains to be determined.
An investigation has been opened to understand how such an act could have occurred. The Antibes police station and the personal injury group are carrying out the investigations. Still in custody, the couple should be heard soon.
