Apple seems determined to improve its music-related services. After’acquisition of Primephonic
a streaming service focused on classical music, the Apple firm has just bought a new player in the market.

Apple just got its hands on AI Music and its technology creating dynamic soundtracks.

Apple acquires Ai Music

It’s Apple’s first acquisition this year, and certainly not the last. The Cupertino company has just announced the acquisition of AI Music, a start-up specializing in the automatic generation of soundtracks. The young British company founded in 2016 has become known for its technology that allows the creation of dynamic music that changes according to user interactions, all from royalty-free tracks and artificial intelligence. For example, the track played in a video game may change to suit the mood and the action, or depending on the intensity of physical activity if the person in question plays sports.

The amount of this purchase is for the moment kept secret, just like what the dozen employees of AI Music will work on. This technology should, however, be added to the various verticals of Apple, in particular to the playlists of Fitness+ and Apple Music, or even to its tools for editing and recording music such as Garageband and Logic. The possible scenarios are legion, but we will have to wait for clearer communication from the brand to the apple to find out more.
