What would the Apple ecosystem be without its pythias? Without Ming-Chi Kuo and Mark Gurman, the best-informed analysts of the future of the Apple brand? Here, these two oracles have just made public some predictions. Here they are.
When Apple began to ditch the use of Intel chips in the Mac in favor of Apple Silicon, the company promised that the transition would take two years. Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman now ensures the transition to Apple Silicon is complete for WWDC 2022 in June.
Consequence: Apple plans to launch a new Mac Pro, a more powerful Mac mini, and a large-screen iMac Pro, all powered by Apple Silicon, on this date. The M1 Pro and M1 Max chips which already equip the MacBook Pro should be used to do this. An M2 chip, which would not bring a break in performance compared to the M1 chip, would also be on the rails. Mark Gurman also insures a new MacBook Air for 2022 as well as a new entry-level MacBook Pro.
AirPods Pro 2 in Q4
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is focusing on the AirPods Pro 2. He ensures that the release of the AirPods Pro 2 is scheduled for the fourth quarter.
At the end of the day, we will find support for the Apple Lossless (ALAC) format and a charging box capable of emitting sound to be found remotely. If lost, users could ring the box using the Find My app.
The arrival of Lossless instead of the Bluetooth format should allow better quality latency.
