Seventy firefighters are on site, including a van of Belgian firefighters who have come as reinforcements.
Many firefighters were deployed on Friday evening to fight a major fire which ignited a factory producing polyester parts in Bazeilles, near Sedan (Ardennes), the prefecture calling on the population to avoid the area and keep the windows closed.

Ardennes firefighters told AFP “take readings on the toxicity of fumes“, emphasizing the presence of”lots of acetone and paints» in this company which produces polyester parts by molding. Called for a fire which broke out at 4:55 p.m., they indicated that they had found a site of 1600 m2 “totally ablaze“.
