Are you a doctoral student or post-doc in science? You can apply for this endowment

The Young Talents program of For Women in Science awards grants to doctoral and post-doctoral students, up to 15,000 and 20,000 euros. For this 2022 edition, there are 35 prizes at stake.

The world needs Science, and Science needs Women is the slogan of the For Women in Science awards. This partnership between the L’Oréal Foundation and UNESCO awards prizes each year to women who have distinguished themselves in scientific research, to help break down sexist stereotypes about these careers.

The magnitude of the rewards in a field like science is anything but trivial. Evidenced by the Nobel Prize: still in 2021, the number of women awarded remains more than low, the trend being deeply rooted since 1901 (in total: 609 men, 23 women).

One of the programs, entitled Young Talents, supports young researchers who are embarking on a career in scientific fields. This specifically concerns doctoral students and post-docs.
