After ten years, he and Maria Shriver are divorced

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver are no longer husband and wife on paper either. The divorce process lasted over ten years.
What is worth waiting for? After ten years back and forth, the divorce between actor and ex-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger (74) and journalist Maria Shriver (66) is finally over. The relevant documents should according to the US portal “TMZ” have been signed by a judge. On Tuesday morning (December 28), the Los Angeles Supreme Court also gave the go-ahead.
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s infidelity is said to be a reason for divorce
In 1986 the couple tied the knot. They have four children together: Katherine (32), Christina (30), Patrick (28) and Christopher (24). But 2011 was over, the couple separated and Shriver filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage. One reason is said to be the “Terminator” ‘s fling with a former housekeeper. The affair has an illegitimate child – Joseph Baena, 24.
The lengthy divorce process arose from a lack of motivation and the complicated division of assets, writes “TMZ”. Despite the circumstances, however, there does not seem to be any bad blood between the divorced. Arnold Schwarzenegger repeatedly posts snapshots with his now grown-up children and his ex.
In 2020 they became grandparents
Daughter Katherine has meanwhile also made the Hollywood star grandpa – little Lyla Maria was born in August 2020. Her father is the actor Chris Pratt (42, “Guardians of the Galaxy”), to whom Katherine has been married since 2019.
