The AI will be offered to the first 20,000 registrants (with DS Iris System) for a pilot phase lasting six months, without the slightest additional cost. ChatGPT at the heart of DS Automobiles
It’s been a few months now that we’ve only heard about him: ChatGPT. Also, at DS Automobiles, we decided to integrate the famous artificial intelligence on board the DS 3, DS 4, DS 7 and DS 9 ranges, through DS Iris System. On board vehicles, ChatGPT transforms into an authentic “ digital assistant dedicated to the travel experience » according to the brand.
To call ChatGPT while driving your DS, simply say the command “ OK Iris » or press the dedicated button on the steering wheel. Voice interaction with ChatGPT then starts, and the driver can communicate with the AI without having to take their eyes off the road and without taking their hands off the wheel.
A pilot phase with 20,000 users
In this way, the driver can ask ChatGPT to generate a story to keep the children occupied, to list the most beautiful places to visit in the neighboring town, to explain the history of the monument just passed, and finally to carry out a little almost any type of request.
“ Since ChatGPT has been available, we have worked to integrate it into our own systems. And we are happy to be the first to offer this innovation in Europe », explains Yves Bonnefont, in charge of the software part at Stellantis.
The manufacturer will launch a pilot phase of this “ SoundHound AI powered by ChatGPT API » within Stellantis, in order to evaluate the customer experience with the first 20,000 users.
The integration of ChatGPT with the DS Iris embedded system is offered at no additional cost and for a period of six months. Please note that the subscription must be made between October 19, 2023 and February 29, 2024.
