Ex-soccer professional Ashley Cain mourns the loss of his daughter Azaylia Diamond. When she was only eight months old, she lost the battle with leukemia.
Ex-soccer professional Ashley Cain (30) announces the death of his little daughter Azaylia Diamond. The girl succumbed to a rare and aggressive form of leukemia when she was only eight months old. “Rest in paradise princess. I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you in heaven again”, he writes on his Instagram account to a photo in which he can be seen with his little daughter in his arms.
Diagnosis in October 2020
The Brit shared the family’s struggle for Azaylia’s life with his followers from the start. For the first time he showed a video of it in October 2020. You can see the baby in a hospital bed with a tube in his nose. The papa holds her little hand and prays.
“Yesterday I went through something that no parent in the world should go through. The most harrowing, terrifying and heartbreaking experience I have ever had. I learned that my beautiful daughter, Azaylia Diamond Cain, has a very rare and aggressive form of leukemia was diagnosed, which is associated with many complications, “he wrote about the video.
“Anyone who would like to, please say a prayer for my beautiful, brave little girl Azaylia, who is currently fighting for her life!” Continued the post and concluded with the words: “Mummy and Daddy love you princess. LETS GO CHAMP. You CAN and you WILL beat it! ”
Just a few days ago even Hollywood star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (48) personally approached Ashley Cain and encouraged him: he found out about it through a friend, “DJ” explains, as he calls himself in the clip. “First of all I want to tell you that I am so sorry to hear from your beautiful daughter Azaylia,” he says. And continues: “Tell the little lioness that she should stay strong.”
Great sympathy
