What a tragic accident: for reasons that have to be explained in more detail, a motorcyclist from Lower Austria got into the oncoming lane with his bike in Mariazell today. The subsequent collision with a truck was fatal.
Shortly after 2 p.m., there was a fatal accident on the B21 near Halltal near Mariazell: the driver of the motorcycle, a 55-year-old from the district of Mödling (Lower Austria), ran his Enduro over the middle of the lane after a curve and crashed sideways into the truck of a 34-year-olds from the Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district. The 55-year-old suffered serious injuries in the collision, and any help came too late for him. He died a little later. An alcohol test carried out on the 34-year-old was negative. Investigations into the exact cause of the accident are ongoing.
