Nearly three weeks after the second round of the legislative elections, the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron received the deputies of his majority on Thursday evening at the Élysée. The objective: to try to remobilize them. “A relative majority brings only one requirement: the most extreme cohesion”, he launched to his faithful.

Emmanuel Macron sounded the general mobilization in front of the parliamentarians of his majority. “What I ask of you is to be in the permanent campaign,” he told them. Message received five out of five by Maud Bregeon: “He reminded us that we had to be permanently on the ground, in our constituencies, to succeed in convincing and explaining what we are going to do on purchasing power by example”, explains the spokesperson for La République en Marche.

“I will be at home this weekend, in my constituency in Anthony, to explain how what we are doing is positive for people on the reindexing of pensions, on the food check for example”, continued the MP for Hauts-de-Seine.

“Stay united and united”

“The risk or the fear of combat must not be with us”, also insisted the President of the Republic on this occasion. Conclusion in front of his troops: “A relative majority brings only one requirement: the most extreme cohesion. Stay united and grouped. No one should be missing.”

As if the last legislative elections had transformed the National Assembly into a battlefield. According to an adviser to the Head of State, “it’s always useful to put pressure on them”.
