The Arras high school, where Dominique Bernard, a French teacher, was killed by a radicalized individual on Friday, was evacuated Monday morning after a bomb threat. Several dozen students and teachers left the establishment around 10:30 a.m.

The middle school of Dominique Bernard in Arras, the teacher murdered Friday in a jihadist attack, was evacuated Monday morning due to a bomb threat, noted an AFP journalist. The alert “follows a message received” via the internet, said the Pas-de-Calais prefecture. “The prefect, on site, had the establishment evacuated. The deminers went to the site,” she added.

Presence of numerous police forces

Around 10:30 a.m., several dozen students and teachers left the establishment, where a psychological unit had been set up, to go to a parking lot opposite. Many students, some accompanied by their parents, gathered Monday morning in front of the school campus, where no classes are held on Monday, to pay tribute to the teacher. Some came to leave roses in front of the entrance, in the presence of numerous law enforcement officers, soldiers and police.

Dominique Bernard, a 57-year-old middle school French teacher, was stabbed to death on Friday by a radicalized 20-year-old former student, during an attack which also left three people injured.
