Attempted killing – Styrian (47) brutally strangled by her partner

On the national holiday around 4:20 p.m., the Vorarlberg police were called to a violent crime in the village of Bürs. A 59-year-old Austrian living in Switzerland is suspected of brutally strangling his 47-year-old partner from Styria in an apartment.

The Austrian citizen, who was born in Graz, was found in an extremely critical condition in her apartment and was admitted to the Feldkirch regional hospital after initial emergency medical care.

The police also found the alleged perpetrator in the apartment, who allowed himself to be arrested without resistance. He was taken to the Bludenz police station.

The State Criminal Police Office has now taken over the investigation. Further information is to follow on Wednesday lunchtime as part of a press conference.
