Austin Butler in a spectacular new war series produced by Spielberg: discover the trailer for Masters of the Air


This is the new spectacular war series expected for the beginning of 2024: “Masters of the Air” with Austin Butler is produced by Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Check out the trailer.

It’s a long-standing project, announced in 2019, between Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman which is finally seeing the light of day. The emblematic trio offers a sequel to their two wartime television masterpieces – Band of Brothers and The Pacific – which completes a serial trilogy, not on HBO like the two previously mentioned fictions but on Apple TV+.

The platform paid between 250 and 300 million dollars for this new television juggernaut, which promises to offer a great show to fans. Based on Donald L. Miller’s 2007 book and created by John Orloff, this new series called Masters of the Air is set during World War II, like Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

Masters of the Air tells the story of the men of the 100th Bomb Group (the “Bloody Hundredth”) as they carry out perilous bombing raids on Nazi Germany, battling extreme weather, lack of oxygen and terror of battles fought at 25,000 feet altitude.

This major new fiction strives to describe the psychological and emotional impact endured by these young men as they helped destroy the horror of the Third Reich. Some were shot and captured, others were injured or killed. And still others were lucky enough to return home. Whatever their fate, they all paid the price.

Apple TV+ has revealed the first trailer for Masters of the Air and it’s safe to say that these spectacular images in the air and on Earth promise a breathtaking and large-scale series, which should kick off 2024 with a bang .

Who says exceptional story, says exceptional casting. Masters of the Air can count on flamboyant new faces of cinema like Austin Bulter (Elvis), Callum Turner (Fantastic Beasts), Barry Keoghan (The Banshees of Inisherin), Ncuti Gatwa (Sex Education), Anthony Boyle (The Plot Against America), Freddy Carter (Shadow and Bone), Nikolai Kinski (Yves Saint Laurent), Bel Powley (A Glimmer of Hope) and Joanna Kulig (Cold War).

With a substantial budget, masters in the field of production, a dream cast and a powerful plot, this new series, directed by Anna Boden, Ryan Fleck, Cary Joji Fukunaga, Dee Rees and Tim Van Patten, should take your breath away to fans of the genre and great spectacle, returning in great force after the success of Top Gun: Maverick on the big screen.

Masters of the Air promises to be the serial event of the start of 2024. This new fiction from the Steven Spielberg – Tom Hanks – Gary Goetzman trio will be available from Friday January 26, 2024, with its first two episodes. The rest of the season, consisting of nine episodes in total, will then be available one episode per week until March 15.
