The Australian Court has dropped the ax on Novak Djokovic on the eve of the Australian Open by rejecting the latter’s appeal against the cancellation of his visa and his expulsion.
The Australian Federal Court on Sunday dismissed the appeal brought by world number one tennis player Novak Djokovic against the cancellation of his visa and his expulsion from the country. “The Court orders that the appeal be dismissed at the plaintiff’s expense”, says the decision unanimously approved by the three judges, on the eve of the start of the Australian Open during which the Serb intended to seek a 21st title Grand Slam record.
