The Nickolodeon series “Avatar – The Lord of the Elements” became a great success with its lovable characters and exciting story. Fans were conflicted about the news that Netflix wanted to adapt the animated series with real actors. Can a live-action series really hold a candle to the original… or even tame it?
However, after the really successful implementation of the “One Piece” live-action series, there was new hope. Now, as part of Geeked Week, Netflix has finally released the first trailer for the new edition of “Avatar: The Lord of the Elements”. At first glance, the series seems a little darker than the original.
That’s what “Avatar: The Last Airbender” is about
The two waterbenders Katara and Sokka find 12-year-old Aang in an iceberg and free him. It turns out that Aang is one of the legendary Air Nomads and at the same time the Avatar who has been missing for 100 years.
He becomes an important figure in the Water Tribe’s fight against the Fire Nation. Katara, Sokka and Aang travel the world to find teachers of all the elements so that Aang can use his full power as an avatar.
It stars Gordon Cormier as Aang, Kiawentiio as Katara, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Yvonne Chapman as Kyoshi, Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko, Daniel Dae Kim as Ozai, Ken Leung as Zhao and Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh. “Avatar: The Last Airbender” starts on Netflix on February 22, 2024.
