The “endgame” of the Avengers in the fight against Thanos will be shown on free TV on November 28th. Emotional roller coaster ride included.

From November 28th (8:15 pm, ProSieben), German Marvel disciples will finally find out on free TV how “Avengers: Endgame” continues the story of “Avengers: Infinity War”. The feelings boil over and over in the three hours or so.

Who can still fight?

We remember, at the end of “Infinity War”, super villain Thanos wiped out half of humanity, indeed the entire universe, and with it half of the Avengers. Will the remaining superheroes manage to bring back their colleagues who have crumbled to dust? If yes how? Will Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel (Brie Larson, 32), who joins the Avengers, tip the scales? Or is it Scott Lang alias Ant-Man (Paul Rudd, 52) and the so-called “Quantum Realm”? And what role will Clint Barton aka Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner, 50) play?

Between laughing, crying and a few surprises

So much can be revealed: Fans get answers to (most of the) most burning questions. Will they all be dealt with to their satisfaction? The remaining superheroes have a hard time nibbling on Thanos’ act. Some more, some less. Can and may life just go on after such a loss? It is an emotional tightrope walk, between apocalyptic mood and brisk sayings, hopelessness and an irrepressible fighting spirit. In the entire “Endgame” you can wander between laughing and crying, from start to finish. Have handkerchiefs ready to be on the safe side!

Another fight against Thanos is inevitable. A number of surprises await on the way – not only for the Avengers themselves. “Endgame” will be a big class reunion, even with participants that hardly anyone had on the screen. A meeting at which Ant-Man, Thor (Chris Hemsworth, 38), Bruce Banner alias Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, 54) and Rocket Raccoon made for loud laughs. Sometimes the best comedy can be found in tragedy.

Above all, “Endgame” offers a big stage for the six Avengers of the first hour: Tony Stark aka Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr., 56), Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Chris Evans, 40), Thor (Hemsworth), Bruce Banner alias Hulk (Ruffalo), Natalia Romanova alias Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson, 37) and Clint Barton alias Hawkeye (Renner). The film – and the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) – thrive on their dynamism, their squabbles, and their cohesion.

Conclusion

“Avengers: Endgame” is a gift to all fans who have been loyal to the MCU for over 20 films. One or the other question is still open after the strip. Maybe some will even like the “Infinity War” more. In the superhero universe, it helps to put the logic aside, sit back, cheer and just enjoy. “Endgame” is definitely an emotional roller coaster ride: from cheering as high as the sky to death saddened.
