(CercleFinance.com) – Avenir Telecom has unveiled a half-year turnover down 36%, the increase in its sales of mobiles and accessories, its new core business, not having fully compensated for the decline in its activities in laptops and tablets, intended to be stopped.
The Marseille group reported Friday evening a turnover of 13.6 million euros for the first half of its 2022-2023 financial year, against 21.1 million euros over the same period of the year. financial year 2021-2022.
While its growth reached 10% in mobiles and accessories, its laptop and tablet branch recorded residual revenue of 1.8 million euros over the six months to the end of September, against 10.5 million in the first half of the previous year.
For the record, Avenir Telecom announced last June the effective cessation of sales of laptops and tablets, for lack of synergies and development prospects.
The group, refocused on its new core business, stresses that the prospects for sales of mobiles and accessories have been confirmed.
Its net income from continuing operations is thus expected to be positive over the first six months of the financial year.
The company, which had available cash of 25.7 million euros at the end of September, says it is also analyzing investment opportunities with a view to enriching its portfolio of licenses, concluding new partnerships or taking stakes. .
After having commissioned a firm specializing in the field to help it identify and assess the cases, the company hopes to finalize an operation by the end of the financial year.
Following these announcements, the title fell by 1.6% on Monday on the Paris Stock Exchange.
