Avocado recipes: cooking with the fat killer
avocado is a real superfruit and the best proof that fat is by no means prohibited during a diet. It consistently contains healthy fat that even boosts fat loss and keeps you full for a long time – and on top of that, lots of fiber! We explain to you how best to prepare an avocado.
Perfect for a figure-conscious diet
If you want to lose weight, you should never do without the energy source fat – it just has to be the right one and it is not for nothing that the avocado is affectionately called "fat fruit". In addition to its healthy fatty acids, the avocado also provides many healthy micronutrients: vitamins A, C, E and folic acid as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium and iron.
The wonderful thing about recipes with avocado: they are incredibly versatile. As a salad, on bread, in smoothies or shakes, in a delicious guacamole – or simply pure!
Shopping avocado: recognizing the right ripening process
Anyone who is an avocado fan knows it: How do I recognize the perfect ripeness of an avocado? Many supermarkets already show certain avocados as “ready to eat” or “ready to eat”. Anyone who still has to store the fruit at home for a few days will pack it preferably in the vegetable compartment of the fridge.
If you have bought your avocado a bit too ripe and would like to process it further, wraps them with another fruit (such as a banana or apple) in newspaper, this ensures an accelerated ripening process! Once the avocado has been cut open, simply add a little lemon juice to the cut edges so that it retains its delicate green color.
