Avowed: good news for RPG fans

At the house of Microsoft, Obsidian Entertainment does what he knows how to do, which is role play. The studio is best known for Neverwinter Nights 2 and the Pillars of Eternityhe is currently developing Avowedwho was recently treated to a very nice video of gameplay. If the fights promise to be interesting, the game RPG will not be left out.

After announcing that the game cannot be completed without killing anyone, disappointing iimmersive simsgame director Carrie Patel revealed during an interview with IGN thatAvowed will offer several different endings, like most of the studio’s titles :

I mean, it’s an Obsidian game. How else would we be if we didn’t have a few different endings?

You need to approach the question with a certain degree of diversity, both in the propagation and placement of those consequences, as well as the nature of those consequences. Some things must have surprising but credible results. If everything goes exactly as planned, it might seem a little boring. And at the same time, not every quest has to have world-ending consequences. Some obviously have a huge impact on the characters in the world around you, but sometimes the story you’re experiencing is just a very deeply personal story for the characters involved. And that’s okay too.

I think the great thing about RPGs is that there’s a lot of room for that spread in terms of tone, type, scope, and nature of the content. This gives players a big world in which they can have many very different experiences that all add to their experience as the protagonist of this game.

Avowed therefore promises to be a real role-playing game, with choices, consequences and replayability. The title is expected at the end of 2024 on PC, Xbox Series Game Passyou can subscribe to the formula Ultimate from €13.99 per month via Amazon, Cdiscount Or there Fnac.
