Since the launch of ChatGPT and the subsequent boom in generative AI, many new models, software and hardware using artificial intelligence have emerged, making it difficult for companies to determine which ones are really useful and worth adopting. To address this issue, Amazon Web Services (AWS) today launched a way to validate the usefulness of these AI models.

The program, called Generative AI Competency, aims to validate that the expertise, software and hardware meet the standards of Amazon’s cloud unit for generative AI. Among the criteria, the brand’s press release specifies that it will be necessary to present four real, proven and reproducible use cases.

Generative AI Competency aims to help AWS customers identify and adopt the AI solutions best suited to develop a successful generative AI strategy within their business – and thus accelerate their growth.

Helping businesses identify the right partners

“We are excited to highlight our partners who have a proven track record of delivering generative AI on AWS with Generative AI Competency, making it easier for our customers to find and identify suitable partners who can meet their needs unique,” says Swami Sivasubramanian of AWS.

Amazon says that at launch, AWS Generative AI Competency has more than 40 partners offering tools, services and infrastructure across different AI sectors, including security and applications.
