(CercleFinance.com) – BAE Systems announced last night that it had signed a $ 1.9 million contract with the United States Navy to ensure maintenance and modernization work on the guided-missile destroyer USS Mitscher, a ship placed in service in December 1994.
If all options were exercised, the contract could be worth $ 101.2 million, the company said.
The work, which will require the vessel to be dry-docked, is expected to begin in March 2022 for completion 13 months later.
