(Boursier.com) — Banque des Territoires today announces a strategic partnership with Omnes Capital through its investment in the CEP2 fund, to boost economic activity in the territories by developing more ecological real estate. This investment is part of its commitment to supporting impact finance.

Classified as Article 9 (sustainable investment objective), the CEP2 fund aims to finance the development of essential real assets which actively contribute to the decarbonization of metropolises. CEP 2’s investment strategy combines a broad spectrum of intervention (building infrastructure, digital infrastructure, energy efficiency infrastructure, mobility infrastructure), a partnership approach with operators in order to intervene from the project development phases , and a proprietary impact methodology.

The CEP2 fund will constitute a portfolio of assets whose CO2 emissions will comply with the CO2 emissions reduction objectives provided for by the Paris Agreements.
Since its first close in the second half of 2022, CEP2 has successfully raised €180 million from institutional clients including the EIF, Ethias and several banks and insurance companies. The Fund has already made 4 investments and is currently examining several other opportunities.
