Barack Obama lends his voice to a documentary about natural wonders

A voice well known to the general public. Barack Obama is the storyteller of natural wonders for Netflix.

While the platform will unveil, on April 13, a new documentary series devoted to the most spectacular national natural parks on the planet, the former president will be the narrator. “A fish that can walk, surfer hippos that want to ride the wave, species found nowhere else, join me in celebrating the greatest national parks and wilderness areas on our planet,” announces the former tenant of the White House in the trailer unveiled yesterday by Netflix.

A plea for nature

Alternating images of Barack Obama, breathtaking landscapes and incredible creatures, this documentary series invites you to discover the superpowers of nature. “When humanity began to protect these wild spaces, we did not realize how important they would become,” comments Barack Obama, who is not at his first attempt with Netflix.

This is indeed not the first time that the former president of the United States has collaborated with the platform. In 2018, the Obama couple signed an agreement with the streaming giant. The following year was released on Netflix “American factory”, the first documentary produced by the couple’s production company: Higher ground.

Since then, the Obamas have multiplied projects with the platform, such as “Devenir”, a documentary on the life of the former first lady produced during the tour of her eponymous autobiography or “We the people”, a educational series for young audiences, unveiled last July.
