Bayonetta 3: Partial nudity may be censored, but only if you wish

nintendo surprised his world today by unveiling a massive trailer of Bayonetta 3, with a release date for this highly anticipated third episode. This new video has allowed us to better understand the direction of this third episode, which will incorporate some novelties, such as an unpublished heroine in addition to Bayonetta. But we also learn that it will be the first episode of the trilogy to be more accessible to all audiences, or almost.

Optional censorship

If you know Bayonetta a little, you probably know that the witch is not really modest, since we often have the opportunity to see her (partially) naked in the middle of the action, since she uses her hair as an outfit and as a weapon. A particularity which has contributed to the popularity of the heroine, but which may bother some.

Well for those people, it will be possible to “censor” this feature. PlatinumGames reported that Bayonetta 3 will implement a “Naive Angel” mode, in which Bayonetta’s outfit will remain sober even during special attacks. No more sexy outfits here, which may be more pleasant for those who play in a room accessible to the whole family (like the living room). We see the result on the tweet above.

Obviously, this mode will be optional, and you will have to activate it yourself. The game will remain basic uncensored, but now you know that there will be this option if you want it (at least if it’s not a joke from the studio).

Bayonetta 3 will be available on Nintendo Switch from October 28.
