Notice to those who love plates of raw vegetables accompanied by good fresh bread and Italian cheeses. The dedicated site reminder.conso.gov just edited a new product recall. It concerns the Burrata con Latte from Bufala by Giovanni Ferrari. In question: the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes, the agent responsible for listeriosis. This bacterium, which can be very dangerous, especially for the health of pregnant women, is the cause of many product recalls that have occurred in recent months: chicken, eggs, cheeses, cold cuts, etc.
According to the sheet published by the government site, these are therefore pots of Burrata con Latte du Bufala from the Giovanni Ferrari brand of 125 grams, easily recognizable by their navy blue color and the Italian flag of the brand logo. . The products concerned display a use-by date (DLC) ranging from between June 29 to July 16, 2022. In detail, the batches concerned are those ranging from L22152 to L22169.

Which stores are affected by the Burrata recall?
Some product recalls may affect only one supermarket or hypermarket chain, one region, and sometimes even one particular store. But this time, the recalled products were put on the shelves throughout France in the following brands: Carrefour, Carrefour market, Auchan, Casino hyper and super, Cora, Intermarché, Leclerc, Super U, and Prodilac. If you have this cheese in your fridge, don’t eat it. You can destroy it, or bring it back to the store. If applicable, you will get a refund for your purchase.
In addition, if you have consumed this potentially contaminated burrata, you must be vigilant for certain symptoms of listeriosis. If you have fever, headaches, body aches, do not hesitate to consult your doctor, and even more so if you are fragile, and in particular pregnant or immunocompromised. Also be aware that the listeriosis incubation period is 8 weeks and that these symptoms can therefore occur much later.
