The Swiss strike back in style on the second descent in Kitzbühel. Beat Feuz and Marco Odermatt ensure a double victory.
(sda) Feuz was eighth on Friday in the first descent, Odermatt fifth. The revenge was all the more impressive. The Emmentaler and the Nidwaldner were clearly superior to their competitors. The two were 21 hundredths apart, the third-placed Austrian Daniel Hemetsberger already lost nine tenths to Feuz. Third best Swiss was Niels Hintermann in eighth.
The last time there was a Swiss multiple success in a downhill run in Kitzbühel was 30 years ago. At that time, Franz Heinzer, Daniel Mahrer and Xaiver Gigandet even ensured a triple.
