Star Wars: The Clone Wars
This animated film, released in 2008, is chronologically located between episodes II and III. It is rather recommended to see it in this order, but you know that with Star Wars, we can do whatever we want. As the name suggests, this is a feature film that focuses on the Clone Wars, and allows in just over 1h30 to see Anakin and Obi-Wan in the conflict.
Star Wars: The Clone Wars (the series)
If you still have time, you can attack the series The Clone Wars. The fact is that it is 7 seasons and 133 episodes. You may not have time to see everything between now and the release of the series on Obi-Wan… But there are some episodes that are more relevant than others, or in any case more decisive than others for be in the best possible mood for the Kenobi series.
A few story arcs are indeed seen by fans as important to understanding Obi-Wan and Anakin’s dynamic. This is the case of episodes 12 to 14 of the first Mandalorian arc, in season 2. Thus, Obi-Wan in these three episodes represents two alternative paths – in addition to a third – that Anakin Skywalker could have taken.
There are also at least two other arcs that may be worth exploring. In season 3, with episodes 15-17, with explanations of the Force beyond Jedi and Sith perspectives. It’s the Mortis bow. It is a decisive arc for the “lore” of Star Warson the balance between the dark side and the light side, on the prophecy, which had a strong impact on the fans.
Another notable arc is Season 4, with episodes 15-18. This arc, dubbed Obi-Wan Undercover (among other nicknames), offers the opportunity to dig into the personality of the Jedi, as he impersonates for a bounty hunter. Obi-Wan Kenobi pretends to be dead, comes up with a whole plan to assassinate Chancellor Palpatine…unexpected!
Do you want more ? There are a few other isolated arcs or episodes that can be added to this list, if you still have time before D-Day.
We think of the arc of the Zygerrian slavers (episodes 11 to 13 of season 4), episodes 5 to 7 of season 2, about a battle of Geonosis, episode 16 of season 5 (The Lawless), which suggests a failed love for Obi-Wan Kenobi, and drama. We won’t tell you more to avoid revealing too much, but it’s a difficult time for the Jedi.
