Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics: what are the chances of French medals this Saturday February 5?

Télé Star invites you to discover the two main chances of French medals this Saturday February 5 during the first day of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

The day after a magnificent opening ceremony, the competition really begins, this Saturday February 5, in these Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. The French team, made up of 88 athletes in China, hopes to leave the capital Chinese with 15 medals as in Sochi in 2014 and as in Pyeongchang in 2018. And the Blues could open their counter from the first day with some good chances of medals that Télé Star invites you to discover.

At 10 a.m., French time (add 7 hours for local time), the biathlon events begin with the 4x6km mixed relay. Anaïs Chevalier, Julia Simon, Émilien Jacquelin and Quentin Fillon Maillet will make up the French team. If they don’t make too many mistakes when shooting, the Blues should win one of the three places on the podium and thus offer the French delegation its first medal in these Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. Gold medalist in this discipline four years ago, Anaïs Bescond expressed her disappointment at not having been selected: “It’s crazy, you can imagine the effect of the announcement on me. Personally, that (the selection criteria) did not convince me, especially when you know the shooting statistics. It was not not justified. Now that I’m not part of it, it’s one thing. The important thing is that we go and get a medal.”. Good atmosphere…
