BRUSSELS (Reuters) – Belgian farmers have ended the blockade of the port of Zeebrugge and are gradually leaving the area with their tractors, a spokesperson for the Belgian port authority said on Friday.

The port will now work to repatriate all trucks that were stuck around the area and in a temporary parking area at Ostend airport.

The agricultural organizations did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The port of Zeebrugge, the second largest in Belgium, had been blocked since Wednesday.
