Tonight was the first part of the Champions League play-offs. After last week’s 2-0 win against Dynamo Kyiv, Benfica confirmed and won 3-0 at home. Otamendi, Rafa Silva and David Neres were the scorers. In a suspenseful end to the match, Maccabi Hafa qualified against Red Star Belgrade with an own goal from Milan Pavkov in stoppage time to equalize 2-2. Finally, Vitoria Plzen hung their qualification against Qarabag in the second half. After a 0-0 draw last week in Azerbaijan, the Czech club won 2-1 after trailing. Tomorrow night the other three play-offs will take place.
